I read about this first in The Advocate and then read the original article in The Sandusky Register. I was already saddened by the park’s decision not to be inclusive and to take, what I would agree is, a cowardly approach by canceling the event. Then I read the comments beneath the Register’s article, a snippet of the more obnoxious (and those who argue for equality) is included below. It continues to dishearten me that this country is still populated by bigots who refuse to acknowledge their own narrow-mindedness and who use “Christianity” as an excuse for discriminating against those who they believe are not worthy in their sacred view.
