March 4 Marriage Equality (plus a drawing of NOM’s Brian Brown)

NOM’s Brian Brown, depicted in my drawing below, is, generally speaking, pretty angry about all things equality. If you are like me you think that he is pretty ridiculous. He and NOM (National Organization for Marriage) are promoting a “March for Marriage”, a ~~thinly veiled bigotry experiment~~ protest against marriage equality

Support Marriage Equality today and show Mr. Brown just how wrong his views are. Check out the folks who REALLY want to march FOR marriage… equality, that is, at March 4 Marriage on Facebook today! As they explain it, “Unlike NOM’s ‘March For Marriage,’ this page will not be dedicated to only a one-day march in D.C. As information crystallizes, we will share, shape, and promote all of the plans surrounding the pro-equality demonstrations that will take place in D.C. and around the nation on March 25, 26, and 27. But beyond that, this page will serve as the rally cry of a rising voice—a loving, peaceful, dedicated voice for fairness—at a time when the whole world will be listening. We will march, yes. But March will be a month for marriage equality, regardless of your personal travel plans. Glad to have you on board!”

I’m Tommy, a writer and storyteller who works in marketing for the arts and cultural communities. I’m the author of Mabel Stanley and the Town That Was Built All Wrong, a fun and heartfelt book, and I’m currently working on a novel about self-discovery and the complexities of memory.
