Mitt Romney, in speaking with members of the National Federation of Independent Business was caught on tape making the following questionable suggestion. Slight threat there Mr. Governor? Yeah, he dilutes it with the “whatever your political view” comment, but the message is clear. Vote for me, or else. (Tip of the hat to ThinkProgress for this one!)
“I hope you make it very clear to your employees what you believe is in the best interest of your enterprise and therefore their job and their future in the upcoming elections. And whether you agree with me or you agree with President Obama, or whatever your political view, I hope — I hope you pass those along to your employees. Nothing illegal about you talking to your employees about what you believe is best for the business, because I think that will figure into their election decision, their voting decision and of course doing that with your family and your kids as well.”
BONUS: And if Papa Romney’s aggressiveness isn’t enough for you, Tagg Romney appeared on the Bill LuMaye Show where he said he wanted to punch President Obama. Obviously Tagg was raised by a level-headed father AND mother so he’s not prone to violence per his father’s logic… oh wait… nope. Can’t claim that.
Bill LuMaye: What is it like for you to hear the president of the United States call your dad a liar? How do you react to that?
Tagg Romney: Well jump out of your seat and you want to rush down to the debate stage and take a swing at him.
