For those of you who have decided to boycott Oreos and other brands which promote equality and inclusiveness, I offer this quick chart of two of our BIGGEST food manufacturers and ask you… seriously, are you really going to boycott all of these companies which have scored a 100 (a perfect score) on the Human Rights Campaigns (which tracks each companies employment laws and workplace policies and benefits that relate to sexual orientation and gender identity).
No, I doubt it. But if you are, good luck! I’d love to see how conservative America survives on nothing but homegrown vegetables. (Frankly it would do a LOT of Americans a lot of good to lay of the stuff. I, for one, am going out to buy a dozen boxes though.)
Luckily for those of us with compassion and love in our hearts, ABC News reports that “Over the past 17 hours more than 157,000 people have ‘liked’ the image, 40,000 people have shared it and 20,000 have commented on it.”
For more brands that DO support real values like equality, compassion, care and understanding, please check out the HRC’s Buyer’s Guide.
